Introduction
What Horon is, the problem it solves, and how your files stay where they are.
What Horon is#
Horon is one window for the AI tools you run. Router fronts your model traffic, Messenger holds thirteen chat providers, and Mail reads Gmail and Outlook. Each is its own program today; the app that opens them together is still being built.
A plugin is how a product reaches the agent, against a fixed C ABI contract. Plugins install, enable, and load from the command line today; there is no published release channel, store, or marketplace yet.
Why local-first#
Your files stay on your disk. Horon reads them where they already live instead of copying them to a Horon server to work on them.
When a request needs a model, it goes only where you point it, using the provider and key you configured.
How to read these docs#
The pages are grouped by what you are trying to do: start here, understand how your data is handled, work with a team, then look up exact settings and shortcuts.
Each page stands on its own. Start with Quickstart if you want to be running in a few minutes.
