Horon

Where your files live

Your files stay on your disk, and Horon reads them where they already are.

On your disk#

Your files stay on your disk. Horon reads them in place, on the machine you own, and does not copy them to a Horon server to work on them.

Nothing is moved or reformatted. The file you had before is the file you have after.

What Horon can reach#

Horon can reach only what you point it at. You choose the folders and files a plugin may read, and you can change that choice at any time.

The public website has no sharing controls yet, so nothing beyond your choice decides what you can reach.

Bringing in a new folder#

When you add a folder, Horon indexes it so search and requests can use it. Indexing reads the files; it does not alter them.

You can remove a folder from the workspace without touching the files on disk.
